The Nicest Classroom in the World The Caravanserai Beach Resort has just reopened after being completely rebuilt and refurbished. Dr. Elder stayed there and enjoyed it. The new owners are determined to make it one of the premier destinations on the island. This low-rise tropical resort has generous, well-appointed rooms, with direct access to the beach, two swimming pools, tennis courts, an award-winning waterfront Baywatch restaurant (we will have breakfast and lunch there) and even a climbing wall (in case the market makes you feel like climbing a wall.) All meals are included in your Camp fee, as well as wine with dinner. It is a custom in our Camps that campers have breakfast and lunch at leisure, but sit down together for a communal dinner. In our previous Camps we had dinners at the resort, but this time we will explore St. Maarten, the culinary star of the Caribbean, with dinners at different restaurants, both on the French and the Dutch sides. Local attractions begin at the front door, with the famous Sunset Beach Bar (click also here)and where tourists join locals in drinking, socializing, watching the sun set into the sea. St. Maarten has uncounted ocean beaches, all open to the public and ranging from sedate on the Dutch side to nude on the French side. To register or ask questions, please call us at 800.458.0939 or 718.507.1033 or email us |
