Letters from Campers
Dear Alex, My second Traders Camp, this one on Cyprus, was a great experience and I am excited to start trading using the new knowledge. After being a professional money manager for 29 years, managing multibillion dollar funds, I can honestly say I learned a lot in the Traders Camp. The combination of a sound money management system and the application of clear rules in technical analysis certainly is a winning formula. With the advancement of fast Internet and low execution fees, private individuals do have the power to perform as well as any professional. To use that power properly is not easy. I think you did a great job in teaching us in an entertaining but at the same time serious way. The "pain and suffering" was great again, it is certainly nice to go out for dinner with a nice group. My wife Janie did like it very much and we stayed for another week. Thank you and Martin both and Inna, who did so much in organizing the Camp. Kindest Regards, Gerard de Bruin Dr. Elder, Thank you very much for the seminar. Michael and I both thought it was really worthwhile. In addition to helping us develop more disciplined strategies, we were fascinated by the perspective you bring to the market. Please keep us posted on your seminar next spring in Moscow. I'm going to be passing on your book Rubles to Dollars to my dad for Father's Day. Take care, Michele, WA * Alex, We are still in the afterglow of the camp experience ... wiser, more confident traders looking for that trading opportunity that "reaches out of the screen and grabs us by the face". Thanks for all your great teaching and hospitality! Sam, ID * Alex, The education was first class and I loved meeting so many nice and interesting people. I liked the format of the schedule, too, with the break in the middle of the day. It gave a leisurely feel to the whole day. The trip to the jungle was definitely one of the highlights for me. I hope I'll attend another camp some time. Jill, OR * Hallo Alex, I am back in Kuwait. I really enjoyed the camp and I am looking forward to becoming a "SMART TRADER" rather than a "HYPERACTIVE TRADER". I was able to crystallize and form a strategy for trading. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences. The interaction with other traders was great and I am definitely richer by the experience. I will keep in touch and let you know how I am doing. Best regards, Thomas, Kuwait * Hi Alex, After the trading camp at Warner I became especially aware of divergence's "the most powerful indicator..." I found one the next day in RMBS between late Sept. and mid October. I had to wait 8 days for the breakout but if you look at the chart you see it worked exceedingly well! Besides that, I have a much better understanding of triple screen. Since this new Bull has taken off running I am enjoying incredible profits recently. I am trying to talk my wife into coming to Fiji. She can now see that we are not crazed risk takers gambling on stocks, but that this trading game can be treated like a business and risk managed successfully. Will you be touching on futures trading in Fiji? Or, will there be a later advanced camp ever dealing with an intro to futures trading? Thanks again for brightening my financial future! Patrick * Alex, This was my first financial seminar and I must say that I really learned a lot from it. Sure I'd read your book twice, but having you explain the material from the book live and with the overhead illustrations, gave me a much better grasp of what is absolute essential to know and to do when trading. One of the highlights for me was that we actually practiced in one of the sessions the triple screen trading system, so that we became more confident using this method. Being with likeminded interested people made it all the better; we exchanged our experiences, good internet sites, brokers, etc. and last but not least we had a lot of fun. The Caribbean resort was a perfect setting to be relaxed, which I think from a psychological point of view helps you in adopting the new methods and material taught at the seminar much easier. I'd say this seminar is a must for anyone who experiences mediocre results in their trading and for those who want to learn about a solid approach to trading. Guido, Paris * Alex, I just wanted to drop you a line to express my enjoyment of your camp last week at Puerto Plata. I was, at first, somewhat put off at your hammering away on money management. But after I gave it some consideration I came to realize that this was information that I really needed. Casual dinner conversations with other campers seem to support my change of attitude. However I also know that I've been trading with too few tools so I'm ordering your MACD, et al video package and your Triple Screen Trading System video. As I suspected at the time I'm enjoying my camp more in retrospect than I did in real time. I really wish I'd gone to the cigar factory. I believe that I was part of an interesting, funny and motivated group and that I had a whiz-bang vacation. Many Thanks for a Great Camp Bill, VA * Dear Alex, Thank you very much for a great education in Puerto Plata last week. Your informative and insightful lectures were truly enlightening. Your warm personality and humorous style also made them very entertaining. It was a very valuable experience for me. Let me know if you are in the Bay Area, it will be my pleasure to take you to one of the fine restaurants around here. Robert, CA * Dear Alex, My wife & I enjoyed "The Camp". It was a wonderful combination of "pain and suffering" - walking/running on the beach, tennis, warm weather, frolicking in the waterfalls, lively discussions with other traders, new perspectives on reading the market crowd's mind, practice in reading charts, food and drink on virtually a 24 hr basis, etc, etc What a way to suffer!
